Ready, Set Run! The Jacob Logan Run for 21

Maybe the last thing you’ve considered doing right before the holidays is a run. In fact, with Icemaggedon, you may have lost some valuable shopping days. But what if your run could make a world of difference literally across the world. A little over a year ago the Logan family received the call that no family ever wants to hear. Their son, Jacob, would not be returning to them after being involved in a terrible accident. Lost and missing their son terribly, the family traveled to Zambia to honor Jacob by loving on orphans. They left Zambia with a clear vision to partner with Family Legacy Missions International. This organization exists to connect American families with the orphaned and vulnerable children of Zambia to proclaim the gospel, transform lives and rescue orphans. The Tree of Life Children’s Village is a 130-acre orphan community located just outside the capital city of Lusaka, Zambia. It is designed to be a haven of hope and light to the orphaned and vulnerable children of Zambia coming from the most severe backgrounds of poverty, abuse and neglect. Some are HIV positive, while others come from child-headed households. All are in need of healing, comfort and a fresh start. Our goal is to bring comprehensive transformation to the lives of these children. All proceeds from The Jacob Logan Run will be used toward building Jacob’s LifeVision Home at Family Legacy’s Tree of Life Children’s Village on the outskirts of Lusaka, Zambia. Jacob’s LifeVision Home will be a transitional home for boys that are nearing the end of high school and preparing to leave the Tree of Life orphanage. This home will help them transition into their next stage, whether it is college or learning a trade. These boys will live with a mentor that will help them as they adjust to adult life and responsibilities.
