There are a few factors to consider when choosing the best thermostat for your furnace or air conditioner. The first is the type of system you have. Does it use forced air, radiant heat, or a combination of both?

The next factor is the features you need. Do you want a programmable thermostat that can keep your electric bills to a minimum or one with sensor capabilities that can adjust the temperature based on occupancy?

Lastly, you’ll want to consider your budget and find a thermostat that fits your requirements and pocket.

If you’re not sure whether you need a new air conditioner or heater, there are a few things you should weigh in mind. First, check the age of your current unit. If it’s more than ten years old, it’s likely time for a replacement.

You can also pay attention to the Energy Star rating of your air conditioning or heating appliance. If it’s not a certified product, an upgrade will be an excellent decision you can ever have.

Additionally, you can measure the efficiency of your existing HVAC system by examining its HSPF or SEER rating. If it has a rating of 6 or lower, investing in a new one will be your best bet.

There are different types of air filters you can choose from. But the most common is disposable fiberglass. It is cheap and easy to replace, but it doesn’t do a great job trapping dust and pollen.

On the other hand, an electrostatic or high-efficiency particulate arrestance filter will be a perfect alternative. Even if it is more expensive, it works better than a disposable fiberglass filter.
