Spencer Air Conditioning and Heating was established in 1960 by Harry Spencer

Mr. Spencer moved to Irving in 1947 after serving in WW II as an Army Airman. While co-piloting a B-17 bomber to England, Mr. Spencer and his crew crash landed on the Greenland ice cap. He miraculously survived 89 days before being rescued. He received the Legion of Merit in 1943. The Legion of Merit is one of the highest awards that can be bestowed on a member of the armed services for non-combat heroism.
